The EU law banning products made with forced labour from the EU market.
The Forced Labour Regulation (EU 2024/3015) prohibits placing or making available on the EU market, or exporting from the EU, any products made using forced labour — including state-imposed forced labour. The regulation applies to all products, all sectors, and all companies regardless of size. It creates a new EU enforcement mechanism with investigation powers.
All economic operators placing products on the EU market or exporting products from the EU, regardless of company size, sector, or country of origin. The regulation applies to products at any stage of the supply chain where forced labour was used.
EU authorities can investigate products suspected of being made with forced labour. If a violation is found, the product must be withdrawn from the market and disposed of. Companies must maintain supply chain transparency and be able to demonstrate their products are free from forced labour.
